The Diversity of the Lightbar

A lightbar can be used for a variety of lighting. One of the uses could be for truck clearance. '01 Ford Windstar - here's my story.Hope you can help?

Guages and idiot lights started going crazy.Battery light stayed on. Alternator checked out OK. Was told it was either bad cell in battery or computer needed replacing. Tried another battery with same result but it was an old one which needed boosting so I tried a battery out of my tractor. Now guages working and battery light only flashed on and immediatly off a couple of times then settled down. But now it appears that head lights and dash lights flicker. Is it possible that computer is really buggered?

The computer has nothing to do with the headlights. This is some kind of current problem, if you are sure that the alternator and battery are ok (I was under the impression that the battery light meant there was an under voltage due to the alternator) I think it would be a grounding issue. There should be a number of grounding points on the chassis that may be loose or rusted. Check them because a loose ground can make your car act CRAZY.
