What happened in Tecumseh engines?
All I can find is now Briggs & Stratton, and garbage from Japan.
Tecumseh Engine Division sold its production in 2007 Husqvarna. It was sold again and all that remains are the properties intellectual. So it is no longer Tecumseh engines. They still make refrigeration compressors, which has always been the heart of their business.

The closest large city to Camp Tecumseh is Lafayette, Indiana, which is also home to Purdue University.
