Craftsman 6.25 21inch hi-tunned Lawn Mower wont stay running?
I have a craftsman briggs& Stratton 6.25 horsepower 21inch hi-Tunned mulcher front gear drive single speed lawn mower that wont stay running. It has been sitting for a while now. When we do get it to start if we hold in the primer button it stays on. It blows out black smoke from the muffler thing??? It has plenty of gas and has only been used a few times a year ago or so. please help!!!
First step is to loosen the Gas Cap and try it again. second step is to take the carburetor off and clean it with a Rebuild Kit, not carb cleaner. If it still does not run right take it to the local mower service shop.
