Jerr-Dan Carriers Offer Exclusive Technology to Provide Reliable Tow Trucks

Only Jerr-Dan tow trucks use No-Lube high performance, replaceable slide pad systems to further limit the need for expensive, time consuming maintenance. All major pivot points are greaseless and the slide pads are a high performance composite.    Industry-changing technology includes the Jerr-Dan Steelbeam  which gives you a truly lightweight carrier with the strength and reliability you'd expect from a heavier design.  Jerr-Dan tow trucks offer tilt cylinder pivots, subframe pivots, IRL cylinder pivots, IRL Strut Arm and Adjustable link pivots, Wheel lift cross-bar pivots, and ball hitch angle available for wheel lift operation. The 2 3/4" diameter heat-treated steel Cross-Bar Pivot Pin is the largest and the most durable in the industry.  All Jerr-Dan Wheel lifts are equipped with standard L-Arm wheel grids or with optional T-37 pivoting wheel grids (L-Arm quick release pins require occasional lubrication).  Optional hydraulic wheel grids are also available on 5-ton units.  This is the industry's most popular carrier, and this chief position is well deserved.  It's versatile, sting and durable so you can focus on the job, not the equipment.  Rated at 10,000 lbs and available in deck lengths of 19', 20' and 21', the Steel BIC is the flagship of the Jerr-Dan carrier fleet. By using standard 80,000 psi steel decking and removable side rails (both steel and polished aluminum), the BIC is a versatile, all purpose carrier.

 

The Steel Best-In-Class 5 ton carrier offers "on-demand" remote throttle which automatically increases engine speed when  carrier  hydraulic function PTO is operated.  The tailboard assembly incorporates chain storage pockets, anti-theft L-Arm storage receptacles and adjustable tilt stabilizer bumpers.  The 8 keyslots positioned along the deck for maximum operator tie down flexibility.  The 6" removable steel tubular side rails are also available polished aluminum.  The flexible hose tracking system supports and protects the wiring harness and hydraulic hoses throughout the entire movement of the deck.  The optional 3 or 5 function switch panel can be mounted in dash or under dash.

Why is the hood decal on my snapper backwards?

I have a snapper 2000gx, and all of the other pictures that i have seen, the snapper name is by the dash, and the 2000gx part is by the nose. But on mine, the snapper part is by the nose and the 2000gx is by the dash. Also, we had picked up another one that had come from the same dealer, and the wiring harness was slightly different from mine. For instance, the PTO switch has 5 prongs, 3 on the top, and 2 on the left or right. One switch, the 2 was on the right, and on the other one, the 2 was on the left. And the weird thing is that they were made about 2 months from each other.

That's all together possible.
