Manual Mower vs gas / electric mower?
We had a riding mower for our 2/3s of an acre of land, which erupted aa friend gave us an old gas mower push (self-propelled did not work so it was really hard to use) and we had to work very hard to maintain the lawn. Now we are looking to buy a manual Lawn Mower (mower Grass fed people) to help the environment, save money and because we are simple folk. Has anyone of experiences with the push mower? There was a lot of / disadvantages? Any other information you can give me so I can make an informed decision would be great! We figure it would be easy to push a mower with a gas mower without self propulsion due to the lightness of the manual. All thoughts on this? Thank you! From what I've read the "old" push mower that much heavier and bulkier than the new, so I'm not sure about it.
Ok .. I applaud you on the issue of saving the environment, but ... I grew up using a push mower (this we called them). They are difficult to use .. need more sharpening blades and give you a great work. You will need more time to make your lawn. Personally I will never buy one no matter what. I think a recent enough gas mower, or other riding mower would be better, but that's just my opinion.
