I live in a southern AZ city where it's usually not too dusty and isn't really incredibly hot or incredibly cold. However, I live on a dirt road about a mile out and drive about 20 miles a day 5 days a week (more or less).
How often should I ideally change the engine air cleaner filter and passenger compartment air filters in my Chevy Cobalt?
Forget maintenance schedules when it comes to air filters.
Change them when they look dirty.
If the never look dirty replace them once a year or so since the filter media will break down over time.
