While driving the lights on the panel went out. The red "security light" came on, which I'm told also goes of when the battery gets below a certain amp on the Dodge products. Is it the alternator? 2002 Dodge Ram w/ original alternator, replaced the battery 6 months ago.
Alternator is good,battery is good. Ever hear of TIPM? I'm seeing some stuff on the net about that possibly being the issue.

with little to go on I believe you do have an altenator issue. you need to get the car running and check the output....you can get this done at most auto part stores or mechanic shop....The battery really only needs to get the car started then the Altenator can support the system....
